The maternity entrance has a barrier in place, which is operated by the
security team, providing safe access to the unit for emergency
vehicles, disabled patients/visitors and access for patients being collected
and dropped-off.
Unit Security
Our department has electronic doors covered by CCTV, which you have
to ask to be let in and out of. This is to protect the privacy and
security of all patients, especially babies.
We kindly request that all visitors and patients respect that these are
in place to protect you and ensure that doors are not left open or held
open to allow visitors to follow you in.
