Welcome to the Visitors and Patients Section. Here you will find links that we hope you will find useful if you are coming to the The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust to either visit someone or you are coming in for an appointment or procedure.
Please use the menu on the left to find out more about getting to the Trust, visiting a friend or family member and staying in Rotherham Hospital.
Due to coronavirus, we currently have visiting restrictions in place. No visitors are permitted apart from:
- one birth partner
- one visitor for patients with dementia or learning disabilities
- one visitor for child patients
- one visitor for patients at the end of life
The one visitor must be the same person on each visit. If any visitor has any symptoms of coronavirus, they will not be able to visit.
For patients receiving end of life or palliative care are able to have one close family member or somebody important to the patient at their bedside. Where it is possible to maintain social distancing throughout the visit, a second visitor may be allowed at the discretion of the Nurse in Charge of the ward. Visitors will be asked to maintain social distancing and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (face mask, gloves and apron) which will be provided by the ward. Visitors will also be asked to thoroughly wash their hands on entry and exit from the ward area.
