Public invited to Annual Members’ Meeting 2020

24 Sep 2020 09:50:41

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is holding its Annual Members’ Meeting on 29 September at 5.30pm. Unlike previous years, the meeting will be held digitally online, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The session will provide a summary of the Trust’s progress and challenges for the last financial year, 2019/20. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Trust, which manages health services across the Rotherham borough and at Rotherham Hospital, has marked some milestone achievements over the past 18 months including a visit to its Maternity Services from Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne.

During the 2019/20 year, the Trust received an upgrade in its Urgency and Emergency Care Centre’s Care Quality Commission rating from Inadequate to Requires Improvement and it undertook significant operational changes to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Martin Havenhand, Chairman of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “2019/20 brought its challenges for our Trust and our Annual Members’ Meeting is an opportunity to reflect on this and to give further detail about how we will move forward.

“Repercussions and recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic are a main area of focus for us and, alongside this, we are strongly committed to ensuring safe and sound care and operational and financial sustainability.”

The joining details for the session, to be held on Zoom, will be issued via the Trust’s social media channels and on its website in advance of 29 September.

Mr Havenhand added: “It is really important that we share details of our performance and that those we serve have the opportunity to give us their feedback so that we can shape safe, effective services and deliver excellent care.”

If you would like to attend or if you have a question you would like to put to the Trust’s Board of Directors please email rgh-tr.foundation.trust@nhs.net.
