At Rotherham Hospital, our wards are made up of four six-bedded bays and up to eight single rooms. All ward patients are nursed in either a single room or a single sex bay with access to appropriately designated male/female toilets close by.
We have three same sex wards, these are:
- B10 for Gynaecology patients and Wharncliffe, one of our Healthcare for Older People wards are both for women
- Fitzwilliam ward, which is one of our Healthcare for Older People wards, is for men.
As part of our site development plan, we are planning further same sex wards and will be upgrading our bays to give them en suite facilities for four people.
